Jonathan Holtaway
President
Jonathan Holtaway is the President of Ategra Capital Management, LLC, a company he co-founded in May 2005. He also was co-founder of 1st Portfolio Holding Corporation, a fee-based financial services company, which opened in 2009 and was sold to WashingtonFirst Bankshares in 2015 (WashingtonFirst sold to Sandy Spring Bancorp in 2018). Jon is currently Director of Hawthorn Bancshares Inc. (HWBK), a publicly-listed bank holding company.
Jon has been a bank investor and advisor since 1992 when he joined Danielson Associates, Inc. (merged with Ambassador Financial Group, Inc. in 2011), a Rockville, Maryland based firm where he was an Associate, Senior Vice President and Partner. His expertise includes merger advisory, equity valuation and strategic planning.
Jon has presented at bank industry conferences including the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and the Virginia Bankers Association. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business with a B.S in Economics and a B.A. in History. In 2013, he authored the book – The Growth Penalty: Unfinished Business, Banking and the American Recovery. He lives in Vienna, Virginia with his wife and three children.

Jacques Rebibo
Chairman
Jacques Rebibo is Chairman of Ategra Capital Management, LLC. He joined the company in 2010.
Jacques has been a community bank investor for over 30 years. He entered the banking industry in 1985 when he invested in and joined the board of a de novo bank, Fairfax Bank & Trust. After ten years of operation, Fairfax Bank & Trust was sold to F&M Bancorp, which was subsequently acquired by BB&T. In 1999, Jacques was an organizing director and became Chairman for nine years of Access National Bancorp (ANCX), which grew to $3 billion assets before selling to Union Bankshares in 2018 for $610 million.
In 2009, Jacques co-founded and was Chairman of 1st Portfolio Holding Corporation, a residential mortgage and wealth management company. 1st Portfolio was sold to WashingtonFirst Bankshares (WFBI) in 2015, and WashingtonFirst Bankshares was acquired by Sandy Spring Bancorp (SASR) in 2018.

Carl L. Biggs

Carl L. Biggs is an Advisor to Ategra Capital Management, where he provides strategic guidance. Additionally, he has been a director at Trustar Bank since 2020, where he also contributes to the Executive Loan Committee, the Audit Committee, and the Asset Liability/Liquidity Committee.
Currently, Carl is building a medical clinic in Bagamoyo, Tanzania at a local middle and high school.
Previously, Carl served on the INOVA Board of Trustees for twelve years.
Carl is the founding member of the Community Coalition for Haiti (CCH) and has served as Chairman of the Board since 2000. This coalition of doctors, administrators and community leaders work to improve the health conditions of Haitians. Many members of the coalition travel to Haiti periodically to provide hands-on service. Carl currently operates a medical clinic in Jacmel, Haiti and CCH also provides clean water for the hospital in Pignon, Haiti. Carl is currently helping to construct a water and sewer system for the hospital.
Carl has over 34 years of in-depth experience in commercial and industrial wastewater treatment operations. He has extensive knowledge in the treatment of water used in heating and air conditioning building campuses like hospitals and universities. In 1987, Carl founded C&E Services, Inc., a total facility for management operations, maintenance, and industrial water treatment company that successfully supports government and commercial customers. Since 1987, C&E Services has served a wide variety of customers from Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley to Wilmington, Delaware to Fort Worth, Texas as well as the Department of State at various overseas locations. C&E Services provides hundreds of chemical products, engineering services, and water treatment systems. His company manufactures over 50 chemical products and is an authorized supplier on the General Services Administration’s Federal Supply Schedule.

Brent Giles

Brent Giles joined Ategra Capital Management as an Advisor in December 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience and insight to support the firm’s strategic investment initiatives.
Brent currently serves as Director and CEO of Hawthorn Bancshares, Inc. and Hawthorn Bank, roles he has held since May 2023. Prior to that, he was CEO of Wisconsin Bank and Trust and Bank of Blue Valley, where he led both institutions through successful periods of strategic growth and operational performance. From 2003 until the bank’s sale in 2019, Brent served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Bancorp, Inc. and BankLiberty. Under his leadership, the company went public, and through a combination of several acquisitions and organic growth, became one of the nation’s top-performing community banks. BankLiberty was recognized many times as a “best bank,” “best place to work,” and “strongest mid-size bank”.
Earlier in his career, Brent held several commercial banking roles of increasing responsibility and spent 9 years as an FDIC examiner, giving him a strong foundation in regulatory and risk management.
Brent received his bachelor’s degree in banking and finance and his MBA both from the University of Missouri where he is still involved speaking to graduate banking classes.

John Putman

John Putman serves as an Advisor to Ategra Capital Management, LLC, where he leverages over 25 years of financial services experience. In addition, John is Managing Director at Commonwealth Advisors and has advised on more than 100 whole bank mergers and acquisitions, branch purchase and sale transactions, stock valuations, capital plans and strategic plans.
Before his role at Commonwealth Advisors, John was Executive Vice President at Ategra Capital Management, Managing Director at Janney Montgomery Scott, Principal at FIG Partners and Managing Director at Ambassador Financial Group. In these roles, he was responsible for M&A advisory services, pro-forma financial projections, market analyses, bank stock valuations and business development. John started his career at Danielson Associates where he spent 13 years working with bank clients on strategic planning, capital planning, M&A advisory, valuation services and new bank formations.

Michael Rebibo

Michael Rebibo became an Advisor to Ategra Capital Management in July 2024, leveraging his extensive experience in financial services and real estate investment to provide strategic insights.
Michael is currently a Managing Partner with Jera Partners, LLC, a commercial real estate investment and management firm focused on industrial net-leased properties. Michael is also a Director of Trustar Bank. Prior to Jera Partners, Michael founded 1st Portfolio Wealth Advisors and 1st Portfolio Lending, financial services companies that provided wealth management and mortgage banking services. These companies were sold to WashingtonFirst Bankshares, Inc. in 2015, which later merged with Sandy Spring Bancorp, Inc. in 2017, and was subsequently acquired by Atlantic Union Bankshares Corporation in 2025.
Michael was an original co-founder of Ategra Capital Management, LLC in 2005. He was also one of the founders of Access National Corporation, a $3 billion asset bank, where he served as a senior executive and as President and CEO of Access National Mortgage. Access National was acquired by Atlantic Union Bankshares in 2019. Prior to forming Access National, Michael served as CEO of Mortgage Investment Corporation and Financial Security Corporation, a wealth management company.
Michael has served on several boards of directors and committees for non-profit organizations including James Madison University’s College of Business and Center for Entrepreneurship, Inova Health System, Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts, the Shenandoah National Park Trust, Brain Injury Services, Inc., and the Pentagon Survivors Fund Distribution Committee. In addition, he is a past Chairman of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area (FPANCA).

Robert Sigal, MD

Dr. Robert Sigal has served as an Advisor to Ategra Capital Management, LLC since December 2024, where he brings over 40 years of clinical and business expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to support the firm’s initiatives. A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Sigal has built and led one of the most well-established and respected private plastic surgery practices in the Mid-Atlantic region.
As President of Austin-Weston, The Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Reston, Virginia, Dr. Sigal specializes in a broad range of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. He is widely recognized for his personalized approach and dedication to patient outcomes, having helped thousands of patients through advanced cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Sigal holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard College and earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his general surgery residency at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. During his time at Penn, he was also an NIH Cancer and Nutrition Fellow, conducting immunology research focused on cancer.
In addition to his work with Ategra, Dr. Sigal serves as an advisor to the Zeldin Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization committed to expanding access to educational opportunities for young people from low-income communities. The foundation supports enrichment experiences beyond the core academic curriculum, helping students explore new interests, develop their talents, and broaden their perspective.

Dolan Fitzgerald is a Senior Associate with Ategra Capital Management and joined the firm in 2018. Dolan assists the firm across many areas. In addition to duties related directly to the firm’s private funds, Dolan manages the company’s accounting and contributes to marketing and compliance efforts.

Kristyna Nepivodova is a Principal with Ategra Capital Management and joined the company in 2015. In her current role, she leads the firm’s research efforts for its private funds. She oversees the research team and ensures that all investments align with Ategra’s core strategy.
Kristyna executes trades for Ategra’s private funds and maintains an oversight of the performance of each investment. She participates in regular reviews of the company’s existing portfolio and maintains relationships with the management teams of the funds’ portfolio companies. She attends bank industry conferences offering private meetings with bank management teams.
Previously, Kristyna served as the head trader for Ategra Private Wealth, where she was responsible for executing trades and establishing the trading processes for the wealth advisory division. She oversaw the trading team executing trades across managed accounts and maintained oversight of trading compliance, ensuring all activities adhered to regulatory standards and the firm’s internal policies.
Kristyna holds an MBA from the University of the District of Columbia and B.A. in Economics. She passed level 1 of the CFA exam and is dedicated to continuing her professional development within the investment industry.
Outside of work, Kristyna serves as the International and District Grants Chair for the Rotary Club of Vienna and continues to pursue her passion for tennis. A former college team player and captain, she has also competed in doubles at the WTA Citi Open.
